New Passport Requirement for United States Citizens Entering the Bahamas

Effective December 31, 2006, the United States Government will require all U. S. citizens to present an U. S. passport when traveling outside the country. Consequently, other government documents such as birth certificates and driver’s licenses will no longer be acceptable forms of identification to enter the Bahamas.

Please visit the following web sites to find out how to obtain a U. S. passport or the process for getting an expired passport renewed.
