CFSA Member Benefits
Membership in CFSA is comprised of two types of members: Payday Advance Companies and Affiliated Businesses. All members receive the basic membership benefits outlined below. Additional benefits are available depending on the category of membership selected.
Membership Categories
Basic Membership
Daily Media Clips
Members receive breaking news via daily e-mails containing state and national press coverage of the payday advance industry, including member companies, state legislation and other payday advance issues.
Weekly Legislative Activity
Members receive an electronic report of all state legislative activity concerning the payday advance industry.
Legislative and Regulatory Representation
CFSA works tirelessly with legislators, regulators and other policymakers in state capitals across the country to educate them about the deferred presentment industry. The association also has a strong presence in Washington, D.C. , regularly working with members of Congress and federal regulators.
Best Practices Seal of Approval
By becoming a CFSA member, adopting CFSA’s Best Practices, and displaying the CFSA member decal and Best Practices counter card, your business will join a select network of payday advance companies that are recognized by state legislators and regulators for treating customers ethically and responsibly.
Grassroots Strategies
All CFSA members benefit from positive media exposure generated through organized grassroots support from satisfied customers and regional third-party outreach programs.
Proactive Communications Program
No matter the size of your business, your organization will benefit from CFSA’s professional communications team. The team works daily to reposition public opinion of payday advance by inserting the industry’s perspective into communications that target policymakers and the general public.
Access to Password Protected Web Site
A matrix of state laws and regulations is but one of the hundreds of resources available to CFSA members. As a CFSA member, you can learn the status of laws and potential legislation in each state, access the database of all CFSA members, and have access to a prepared Power Point presentation that you can use to deliver speeches in your community. In addition, you can review a database of news clips about the payday advance industry, sign up for CFSA’s annual meeting, post help wanted ads, view and print research studies, and much more.
Associate Member (5 or fewer stores)
In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- free best practices kit (counter card and CFSA Member Seal).
General Member
In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- five free best practices kits (including counter card and CFSA Member Seal);
- an appointment on the Board of Directors is selected from the General Membership category.
Advisory Member
In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- up to fifteen free best practices kits (counter card and CFSA Member Seal);
- an appointment to the Board of Directors will be selected from the Advisory Membership
Platinum Member
In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- up to 50 free best practices kits ( including counter card and CFSA Member Seal);
- participation in weekly conference call to discuss issues of concern; and
- two appointments to the Board of Directors will be selected from the Platinum Membership.
Sustaining Member
In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- up to 100 free best practices kits (including counter card and CFSA Member Seal);
- participation in weekly conference call to discuss issues of concern;
- access to CFSA’s communications consulting firm;
- access to CFSA’s Federal regulatory and legislative consultants;
- access to CFSA’s State legislative consultants; and
- an appointment to the Board of Directors.
Vendor/Supplier Member
Vendor/Supplier Members provide products and services to the association marketplace. In addition to basic membership benefits you will receive:
- access to the CFSA membership directory on the web site; and
- one complimentary registration at the Annual Meeting.
Industry Partner
This membership category is reserved for supporters within the payday advance industry. In addition to the basic membership benefits you will receive:
- weekly legislative updates detailing all activities in the 50 states;
- inclusion in the Annual Meeting literature and opportunities to speak;
- advance reservations for the Annual Meeting exhibit hall;
- access to the CFSA membership directory on the Web site; and
- two complimentary registrations at the Annual Meeting.
