Highlights from CFSA’s 2008 Annual Meeting & Conference
CFSA's 2008 Annual Meeting & Conference was the most highly-attended meeting in the association's history, attracting more than 700 attendees. Held March 5 - 8 at the J.W. Marriott Resort & Spa at Summerlin, conference attendees included owners of payday advance companies and key staff, leading industry experts, community leaders, and policymakers.
Highlights of the conference included a variety of legal sessions, forecasts for the industry’s future and the 2008 Elections. This year there was also a heavy focus on grassroots education and community partnerships. In addition, CFSA’s Advisory Committee on Community Affairs conducted a breakout session that outlined key strategies for building community support.
