CFSA Advisory Council on Community Affairs
In 2005, CFSA and its member companies committed to developing a national strategy to build better relationship with the minority community minority. In doing so, CFSA established an Advisory Council on Community Affairs. This Advisory Council provides guidance on how a national community outreach strategy should be formulated and carried out. The Council is composed of highly reputable and influential community leaders from around the nation.
In its role, the Council provides CFSA and its members guidance on how to:
- Diversify store ownership by encouraging minority entrepreneurs to enter the business;
- Diversity the industry’s corporate environment by expanding minority recruitment efforts; and
- Diversify the industry’s vendor and supplier pool.
